Jiving Juniors Dance School

Terms & Conditions:

All the terms and conditions listed below apply to all activities that come under Jiving Juniors Dance School.

1)   An online enrolment form must be completed to register a child in class with Jiving Juniors Dance School.

2)   Children must have reached their 3rd birthday before starting Jiving Tots classes. All children must be fully toilet trained.

3)   Children must be dropped off and collected promptly. Children are generally not allowed to leave the venue unaccompanied unless we have received prior instruction from a parent/guardian.

4)   Fees are payable by term and are due before the first day of each term. Families with 2 or more students will receive a discount. *No refunds will be given once the term has commenced. *No refunds will be given for any missed classes. If a class must be cancelled by a teacher, then money will be refunded but only for that reason or if the class cannot be rescheduled again for that term. Refunds will NOT be given for non-attendance or missed classes and will only be provided in exceptional circumstances.

5)   *For seasonal camps/workshops and weekly classes, Parents/guardians are expected to notify Jiving Juniors if a child will no longer be attending so that we can notify our venues and staff of any changes to our schedules. No refunds will be issued unless 7 Days notification is given for non-attendance of weekly classes/camps/workshops.

6)   All cancellations must be notified by contacting Jiving Juniors Office at jivingjuniors@gmail.com. Cancellations that are requested more than seven days before the start date of weekly classes/camps/workshops will receive a refund, however, will carry a €10 cancellation fee. Cancellation requests received less than seven days prior to classes/camps/workshops start date will not be eligible for any refund.

7)   Classes are generally graded by age.  Student’s are not able to go up to the next age group. However, they may move down to a lower age group if you have two children enrolled and you wish for them to be in the same class. Student’s may only be moved to the next age group at the teachers’ discretion. This will depend on the child’s dancing ability.

8)   Jiving Juniors operates a strict Anti-Bullying Policy. Bullying of teachers, students or staff members will result in a child or parent being asked to leave the school. The decision on such issues is final and is at the discretion of the owner.

9)          Jiving Juniors must be made aware at the time of registration of any relevant medical conditions, special needs, or allergies a child or young person may have. Please ensure that this is done before they attend class. Our staff need to be aware of any issues relating to use of EpiPens, inhalers or any diabetic requirements.

10)  Only participants in the class are allowed in the studio. No onlookers are permitted.

11)  Students participate in class at their own risk and are responsible for their own belongings.

12)  During the activities provided by Jiving Juniors, photographs and video may be taken by the course teachers and in the case of class performances by other parents, which may include footage of your child. These may be used on our website or social media or displayed in the studios from time to time for marketing purposes. Please ensure you let the school know in writing if you do not consent to the use of images as described above. This is dealt with in the enrolment form.

13)  Class times are subject to change at the discretion of management. (And depending on class numbers)

 

14)  At times scheduled teachers may not be available to teach a class and as such an alternative teacher of equal or greater qualification will replace the scheduled teacher. Due to the nature of the entertainment industry, teachers may rotate and change at the discretion of management.

15)  Please be aware that due to the nature of dance and for your child's growth, development, and safety it will be necessary at times to engage in physical contact with your child. This will always be done in an appropriate manner and with your son or daughter's best interests in mind. Covid safety protocols will be always adhered to if this circumstance is to arise.

16)  Jiving Juniors does not accept responsibility for student’s safety outside class venues.

17)  Jiving Juniors attempt to minimise any risk of personal injury within practical boundaries; however, accidents do happen, and all physical activities carry the risk of personal injury.

18)  All students and guardians acknowledge that while every care and safety measure will be taken, there is an inherent risk of personal injury in physical activities that will be undertaken at the studio as part of the programme and accept that risk.

19)  ‘Whatsapp’ is the main method of communication between class teachers and parents/guardians in relation to specific class groups.
